Rebecca Woodvine
U23 Rider
Rebecca specialises in cyclocross and road racing. She is best known for her strong junior and U23 performances in cyclocross, with international appearances and national-level podiums. She has received bursary support from WMCCL to attend a world-class cyclocross training camp in Switzerland and was selected for a number of EvoDevo international racing trips.
Career Highlights:
- Representing GB in elite UCI Cyclo‑Cross World Cups in Antwerpen and Dublin
- C1 races at Ruddervoorde (32nd), Overijse, Baal, Hulst, Niel (20th) and Lokeren

Andrew Naylor
Team Manager
30+ years experience of riding, racing, organising and mechanicing.
Andrew has a wealth of cycling experience, both on- and off-road. He's been Best Young Rider at the Girvan and schoolboy National MTB Champion, but his real love is cyclocross.
After many years racing and organising in the NDCXL, he set up Fossa with his wife, using it as a means to give back to the sport. He and Sarah have both since helped set up EvoDevo, a separate community interest company that aims to develop young cyclocross talent.

Sarah Naylor
Pit Crew
20+ years experience of cycling, racing & pitting.
Sarah rides regularly but is mainly focused on supporting young riders. Having trained as a mental health first aider, she's particularly good at looking out for the psychological welfare of riders.
She works closely with Andrew in the pits, where they've worked at world-class events and for champions including Annie Last, Tom Pidcock and Eva Lechner.

Dave Woodvine

Dave is Rebecca's dad and is always on-hand to support her at races, whether local, national or international.
He rides for Mid-Shropshire Wheelers, the club who helped Becca develop her racing skills in the West Midlands Cyclocross League from the age of 6.

Gavin Hardwicke
Former Junior National Champion Gav is currently the only holder of Fossa Racing baggies, which he showcases on MTB nights with a local group. These days he's into building vintage MTBs and painting his own cycling shoes. Now there's a niche skill!

Ellie Smith
Ellie had a number of national podiums both on- and off-road before joining the Olympic Development Programme and taking a national title on the track. She moved to Whistler and now rides downhill besides working in a bike/ski shop.

Lee Shunburne
Lee won senior and veteran league titles in consecutive years before stepping away from competition to become one of the country’s few UCI commissaires. You’ll still see him taking charge at major races.

Kyle Burleigh
Kyle, previously a top-class trials rider, wowed us with his technical skills. He helped us win multiple men’s team titles in the NDCXL before taking on an Ironman triathlon.

Matt Crouch
Definitely the most consistent and long-lasting of the fossas, Matt is a multiple veteran league winner and is still an ever-present face at the front of cross races throughout the country. He also runs a mobile bike repair business.

Alex Farquhar
After leaving the army, Alex joined Fossa Racing. She was a regular top-10 finisher, winning two rounds of the Beastly Series in London in 2021. She worked in the bike industry before going travelling.

Tim Elsmore
Tim won the junior league title for Fossa Racing before heading to Edinburgh. He’s now part of the events teams at UCI MTB World Series and National Cyclocross Series.

Christian Boon
After achieving a string of race podiums for Fossa Racing, Christian headed to Cambridge where he continued to ride. He recently got together with Matt to ride a 2-up club time trial in Fossa colours!

Emma Payne
Emma was 7th V40W overall two seasons running, besides being a member of the 5th-placed mixed team. You'll se her at loads of major events alongside hubby Matt with their sports promotion company, FullSpeed Events.

Ben Kerry
Ben achieved 2nd place U16 in the overall league, taking 2 wins and 8 podiums in 2019-20. Unfortunately the pandemic came along and cancelled the 2020 league competition.

Libby Smith
Libby rode both the local and national series for Fossa, taking a win and 2 podiums at local level as an U14. She was the recipient of the only baby-pink custom paint job ever to grace a Fossa MTB.

Alex Raynard
Alex showed strong talent, taking 4 podiums as an U23 while studying at university in Sheffield. Despite only being able to make half the season's races, this was still enough to earn him 5th U23
